Job Description
The Technology Evangelist will act as a bridge between OpenNebula technology, our community, and the broader market. This role combines technology communication, customer and community engagement, and public advocacy. You will become one of the recognizable voices of OpenNebula in the ecosystem, driving awareness, building trust, stimulating contributions, and collecting feedback to bring back to our internal teams. The ideal candidate is passionate about open source, cloud, and public speaking, and enjoys explaining technical concepts in a clear and engaging way.
Responsibilities
- Act as a public ambassador for OpenNebula across social platforms, developer communities and partner ecosystems
- Inspire, recruit, and support new users and contributors in adopting and getting value from OpenNebula.

- Solicit, gather, and share feedback from users and customers with Product, Engineering and Marketing to help shape the roadmap and improve UX.
- Represent OpenNebula at industry conferences, open-source events, webinars, and meetups — including public speaking engagements, technical sessions, and panel participation.
- Create compelling content (blogs, videos, demos, presentations, guides) that explains our technology and promotes open-source values through the OpenNebula Blog and Monthly Newsletter.
- Support go-to-market and awareness efforts in collaboration with Marketing, promoting our ecosystem and open standards at regional and international events (including occasional travel)
- Answer questions and provide guidance/direction for customers, partners, and occasionally C-level stakeholders to collect insights, provide clarity about our technology, create awareness and drive adoption, at events, on social media, with blogs, etc.
- Collaborate on webinars, workshops, and content initiatives that empower contributors and users.
